Tupperware, New Years, Avatar 3D, Bike Blog
Geeze... I feel as though I have a lot to go over this week.
My friend from London is still down. Nice to hang out with an old friend and other, more local old friends, whom I never seem to have time for these days, unfortunately. I can't wait for classes to finish so I can move into a more job-like schedule.
So we had a big pot-luck-ish supper the other night. I made some rather delicious dip and met my friends roommate. Great guy! They do Metal busking downtown every now and then. They also made a wicked (and hilarious) Christmas Metal Album and gave me a copy recently. It is phenomenal! Keep your eyes out for these guys, folks!
Went out a few nights later to Gus's Pub, which had this stellar Techno-Rock band called Tupperware. It's been a while since I've heard music like this. They kind of sounded like a newer, younger, fresher Propellerheads. Different of course, but better! It was a great night, but we were in the middle of the North End, and walked all the way past Dal to get home. Not too pleasant with the -15 to -20 'ish temperature out there.
You essentially have to have brass balls to wear a pylon as a mask/hat and a spandex (I want to say) ski suit that explicitly draws attention to your groin area for an entire set. Incredible show, guys!
You'll definitely have to check it out. If you are into sci-fi, you'll really love it. If not, I think you'll find the 3D and imagery pretty engaging and captivating.
If anyone follows the Spacing:Atlantic blog, you'll find I have an article up there which is a vote on the Best/Worst bike lanes of Halifax. Check it out, cast your vote and we'll see if we can change things!
Have a good night, all!
